Community Reviews. Search review text. Displaying 1 - 2 of 2 reviews. This was an easy read about manipulation and how everyone of us uses it and is confronted with it on a daily basis. The book gave examples often exaggerated to get the points across and also tried to present a solution for each example. For example it is only polite to look my dialogue partner in the eyes so I was surprised that that was a huge thing in this book.

Same with using gestures to bring points across and to pause for a bit before making an important point. Interesting was the part where the book explained some psychological theories and advertisement tricks the latter often uses the former to get people to buy their products for the laymen in the beginning.

And later on, when the author summed up some tips on how to use manipulation as an advantage without hurting anyone for oneself when the world is full of manipulation anyway — which is not necessarily a bad thing.
